Blues, particularly the cobalts found in Flow Blue and Staffordshire Transferware, exhibit 'metameric reflectance'--changes in the color spectrum when viewed in different light sources. Choose a restorer with experience in these types of wares or you may be disappointed with the result. |

Damage: Broken into several pieces and reglued requiring disassembly, reconstruction, filling, repainting by hand and airbrush and reglazing. ~ Japanese Imari platter. Damage: Having missing detailed edge requiring filling of missing material, repainting, reglazing and gilding. ~ Pair of large Staffordshire Dog Spill Vases mounted as lamps. Damage: Both broken into several pieces, missing large sections of the spills requiring reconstruction, modelling, repainting and reglazing. ............
